About the SID-US Reception

The SID-US Annual Reception returns on November 19, 2026, bringing together the global development community for an evening of connection, conversation, and collaboration in Washington, DC.
Building on last year’s reimagined reception format, the event will offer a relaxed and engaging setting with generous hors d’oeuvres and drinks, creating space for attendees to reconnect with longtime colleagues, strengthen existing partnerships, and build new relationships. Hundreds of professionals from across the global development ecosystem—including NGOs, the private sector, consulting firms, government agencies, universities, think tanks, and other organizations—will come together to exchange ideas and engage with colleagues and partners from across sectors. |

The Reception provides a space to step away from day-to-day work, connect with peers and partners, and have conversations about the opportunities, challenges, and changes shaping the sector. We believe that by working together across all sectors, we can build resilience worldwide for a safer, stronger future. Many of you have shared your desire for more opportunities to engage with peers, partners, thought leaders, donors and others – and we’ve listened. As a community, we’ll look back at the work done over the past years, and we'll look forward to what's next and engage in the conversation on the future of our sector.
